ONE GAME UNITING THE WORLD

Hey guys, the world cup is here now and the excitement has no bound. A lot drama will unfold on and off the pitch in South Africa in the next 4weeks. There will heros and villains, new stars will be born, some old ones will shine, and some will die, but one thing will sure remain, THE UNITY AMONGST ME OF ALL RACE all due to this beautiful game called FOOTBALL. Like I said I will be uploading some images of grass root street football, as the once in a life time celebration continues. ENJOY

As I count down to the world cup, I will be uploading some football images I shot on the streets of Lagos and Ibadan, Showcasing the immense talents that emerge from the African soil. Some make it to the big stage and others don't.

As it was said on CNN during a report on African football, they reported some of the best talents emerge from west Africa, hence the reason west Africa has the highest number of participants amongst the African countries in this year's world cup.

From the streets of Lagos to Accra to Yaounde to Abidjan etc, you will find better Drogbas, and more skilful and rugged Essiens. But as faith will have it, only a few will be lucky to cross the Atlantic on to the big stage. As the world cup is coming to home soil, lets celebrate and enjoy it, making Africa proud.As they say, it may be a ONCE IN A LIFE TIME.

This is a wedding I shot sometime in 2008, and it happened to be one of my favorite. The couple was amazing, especially the groom who happened to be very playful. The bride is french, and the groom is english, which also made it quite an interesting mix. The image I am publishing is that of the bridesmaids. I remember them singing a song in french, which is why the title is written in french.

In deep thoughts

This post is from a burial ceremony I documented recently. I have never documented a burial so this is the first for me. There was a lot of emotions attached and also a lot of deep thoughts and reflections. It was an opportunity for people to think deep about their lives, and how they are living. Also it was an opportunity to realise that life is nothing, with nothing we came and with nothing we will return. What will matter then is the legacy we leave, our deeds either good or bad, and those lives we affected either negatively or positively. Lets give more genuinely and generously to those who need. God has blessed you for a reason, and HE expects you to bless others with what HE has blessed you with. Take time to reflect on your life, you never know who could be next.
